The Tamil Nadu Department of Archaeology (TNDA), in collaboration with the Roja Muthiah Research Library (RMRL), Taramani, has launched a new tri-annual e-journal, ‘Thol Thadam’ (Ancient Trail), focusing on archaeology, art, and cultural studies.
The initiative aims to disseminate the scientific findings of the state’s archaeological explorations, such as the globally noted ‘Iron’s Antiquity’ publication, and promote continuous excavations at historical sites.
The inaugural issue was released at the Keezhadi Museum on Sept.20 (Indus Valley Day) by Minister of Archaeology Thangam Thennarasu. T. Udayachandran, I.A.S., Commissioner of Archaeology, lauded the journal for filling a long-standing gap by presenting Tamil heritage and culture with a modern approach.
‘Thol Thadam’ welcomes contributions from scholars, researchers, students, and history enthusiasts across the humanities. Detailed Submission Guidelines and requirements for CVs are available on the journal’s website. For more information, checkout https://tholthadam.in/.
