Visankirtali Trust conducts Lakshmi Nrusimha Jayanthi Utsavam

Visankirtali Trust recently concluded its 28th Lakshmi Nrusimha Jayanthi Utsavam, held from June 21 to 23 at Shri Kanchi Mahaswamy Anantha Mandapam, Adyar. 

Utsavam was graced by seer Ramananda Saraswati Swamigal of Raja Rajeshwari Peetham, Madurai and Pudukottai Narasimhan Bhagavathar, apart from other eminent bhagavathas like Mumbai Sundararaman, Thanjavur Thiagarajan, Seerkazhi Sattanathan, Govindapuram Gnaneshwar, Mohanur Srikanth Koundinyan, Melarcode Ravi and Erode Rajamani.

The Namasankirtanam was concluded by Sampradaya Seetha Kalyanam and Lakshmi Nrusimha Kalyanam by Delhi Shankar Bhagavathar. Pravachana exponent Dushyant Sridhar, enthralled and captivated the audience of all ages with his excellent oratory skills. He was felicitated with the title ‘Dharma Samrakshana Kainkarya Ratnam’, while the Bhagavatha Brothers – Vijaykrishna and Balaji Bhagavathar were titled ‘Namasankirtana Kainkarya Ratnam”.

Adyar Times was established in Chennai in the year 1993, founded by Mr.S.P.Ambrose, IAS (Retd.). The concept of a newspaper for the neighbourhood was a novel idea then. The English weekly (Sunday) now boasts a circulation of 42000 copies with an average of 16 pages per issue.
