Young Minds Meet Councillor in Kotturpuram

On Sept.19, nine Grade 2 students, two teachers, and one staff member from KC High International School, Kotturpuram, visited the office of Councillor K.R. Kathir Murugan (Ward 170). 

During the 30-minute interactive session, the students asked questions about the councillor’s role, appointment, and how he handles complaints, as well as his efforts to maintain cleanliness and safety in the area.

The Councillor explained local governance and waste management, emphasising the importance of civic responsibility. He encouraged the students to actively contribute to keeping their neighbourhood clean and safe. The visit offered the students practical insights into civic bodies and helped them connect their classroom learning with real-world governance.
