Tamil Nadu Triumphs: State Riders Clinch Dressage Championship at Interstate Equestrian Meet

Tamil Nadu’s equestrian team demonstrated exceptional skill at the First Interstate Equestrian Competition held in Bangalore on Oct.23, 2025, securing the coveted Overall Dressage Championship Trophy against five other states.

The competition, organised by the Karnataka Riders Association, saw 129 entries showcasing their talents.

Tamil Nadu’s success was spearheaded by its talented young Dressage riders, who collectively earned a remarkable haul of medals:

  • Gold: Kevin Gabriel (13), Tasha Neethirajan (16), and Isabelle Futnani in three different categories.
  • Silver: Samana Everaa and Shubh Chowdhari.
  • Bronze: Hashini B, Pranav Deepak, and Isabelle Futnani.

The Championship Trophy was presented by Rudrapratap Singh, President of the Karnataka Riders Association. The team also secured an additional Silver and three Bronze medals in the Jumping Competition.

The Tamil Nadu Horse Riders Association highlighted its continuous support through training workshops and expressed confidence that with enhanced backing from the State Sports Ministry, these riders are poised to excel on higher national and international platforms.
