Cosmopolitan Club, as part of their 150 years celebration, conducted a swimming competition for the Championship Trophy on June 25, at the Gandhi Nagar Club, Adyar. Various clubs in the city participated. The Cosmopolitan Club’s swimming team claimed the 2nd Runners-up trophy. Gandhi Nagar Club team secured several Gold, Silver and Bronze medals in the 25m and 50m Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke and Butterfly stroke.
The awards were given by V.Bhaskaran, Olympian and 1980 Hockey Gold medal winning captain. Sundarakrishnan, coach Manohar, Induja, Ranjithkumar and his team received the awards on behalf of Gandhi Nagar Club.
