Shree Radha Sanjay, a Class 10 NIOS student at Sri Sankara Senior Secondary School, Adyar, has clinched a Gold Medal at the National Level Debate Tournament. The prestigious competition, organised by IIT Mumbai Debate Society (MSDL) and Indian Debating League (IDL), concluded at IIT Mumbai on July 20, 2025.
The tournament featured approximately 20 senior category teams from across India, engaging in preliminary rounds, semifinals, and finals centred on the theme ‘Wounds of War, Whispers of Peace.” Shree Radha’s winning team included Sara Gupta and Samikshak Jairath from The Shriram School, New Delhi.
Beyond the medal, certificate, and trophy, their victory secured a coveted entry into the selections round for the Annual Harvard College Union Debating Competition in Jaipur. This boot camp and competition serve as a crucial platform to select a team that will represent India at the Harvard College World Schools Debating Championship (WSDC) 2026 in the USA.
