The Besant Nagar Humour Club and the Seaview Apartments Owners’ Welfare Association held a joint humour meet on Sept.7, at the Seaview Apartments Hall in Thiruvanmiyur.
The event, which began with a prayer by Visalakshi, featured a fun-filled joke session led by the club’s secretary, Bharthi Mahadevan. Club members and children shared humorous anecdotes, creating a lighthearted atmosphere. The program’s highlight was a thrilling drama titled ‘Konathu Neethana’, performed by the Sarvam Natakapriya troupe. The play, written by Kesav with music by Dharshan and produced by Vijaylakshmi, was performed entirely by seven women. Its gripping storyline captivated both adults and children, keeping the audience on the edge of their seats.
The success of the event has built momentum for the club’s upcoming 25th-year celebration, scheduled for next month. The Besant Nagar Humour Club conducts monthly meetings on the first Sunday at 4 pm, and membership is open to everyone. Ph: 94447 55430 (Founder – A. Kumar).
