Chennai, September 21: The Dakshin Chennai Prabashi Cultural Association (DCPCA) successfully organised Tarpan on the auspicious day of Mahalaya for the third consecutive year. Tarpan, an age-old Bengali ritual, is performed to pay homage to ancestors and seek their blessings, reinforcing the importance of tradition and continuity.

Commenting on the occasion, Amitrajit Ghosh, Executive Committee member of DCPCA, said, “It is important to value and hold on to our rich heritage. Such rituals must be followed and passed on to the next generations.”
