Diwali celebrations at Chithkala Nursery and Primary school, Indira Nagar.
Pasumai Moorthy, a resident of Vannanthurai distributed sweets and clothes to the conservancy staff and the homeless people in and around Vannanthurai.
Members of Srinivasapuram Residents Welfare Association felicitated the conservancy staff for Diwali, on Nov.9. They also gave them a Cotton House gift voucher worth Rs.1000 and provision coupon worth Rs.550. The residents also thanked R.Venugopal – Founder of Cotton House for his contribution.
The Ward Councillor of Ward 179, J.Kayalvizhi, honoured the conservancy staff of her ward on the occasion of Diwali and provided them with a packet of biriyani as a token of appreciation.

Adyar Times was established in Chennai in the year 1993, founded by Mr.S.P.Ambrose, IAS (Retd.). The concept of a newspaper for the neighbourhood was a novel idea then. The English weekly (Sunday) now boasts a circulation of 42000 copies with an average of 16 pages per issue.
