Resident brings home medal in Yoga

The Founder of Swayam Yatra Research Foundation, Palavakkam, S.Gayathri, won the Traditional Yoga merit certificate in the age category of 42-50 years at the 2nd Asian Yogasana Sports Championship 2023  held at Bangkok, Thailand. 

The event was held from June 24 to 26, and organised by Yogasana Sports Federation of Thailand in collaboration with Yoga Sports Federation of India, under the auspices of Asian Sports Yogasana Federation and Sharvaya Yoga International. The competition had participants from China, Iran, Hong Kong, Vietnam and many other countries.

Adyar Times was established in Chennai in the year 1993, founded by Mr.S.P.Ambrose, IAS (Retd.). The concept of a newspaper for the neighbourhood was a novel idea then. The English weekly (Sunday) now boasts a circulation of 42000 copies with an average of 16 pages per issue.
