On Apr.29, the eve of Akshaya Tritiya, a group of women from Journalist Colony, Thiruvanmiyur marked the occasion with a meaningful act of generosity. In the spirit of ‘dhaanam’, they donated notebooks, pens, pencils, and essential daily items to Anbu Karangal, a home in Kottivakkam that supports underprivileged students by providing shelter and education.

The donation was handed over to the children in the presence of Sri Suresh Kumar, who heads Anbu Karangal. “This is a day of giving dhaanam – donating to the needy. So giving dhaanam on this day will give you manifold return for your good deeds,” stated the women.
