The Young Indians (Yi) Chennai Chapter, in partnership with CREDAI Chennai, hosted the 3rd edition of its ‘Yi Walk Along’ event on Aug.10, at Elliot’s Beach. This is a part of Yi Chennai Day celebrations, is one of India’s largest inclusive walkathons dedicated to empowering persons with disabilities and neurodivergent individuals.

Over 1,200 participants, including more than 500 persons with disabilities, walked hand-in-hand with allies in a symbolic show of solidarity. The event featured inclusive experience zones and interactive stalls with assistive technologies, art, and music. According to CREDAI Chennai President A. Mohamed Ali, the event highlights that “when we walk together, barriers disappear and communities become stronger.”
