The Inner Wheel Club of Madras Central, a 36-year-old NGO dedicated to supporting underprivileged communities, has donated utensils worth ₹50,000 to the Adyar Cancer Hospital. The donation was made to the hospital’s Nutrition department.
The project was led by Latha Balamukundan, who recently took office as the 37th President of the club. “It was a very satisfying project,” she said.
In addition to the donation, the club is also sponsoring weekly evening snacks for patients, providing high-quality buns from a bakery run by transgender individuals.
According to President Latha Balamukundan, the Inner Wheel Club of Madras Central has many more similar projects planned for the 2025-26 year.
